The old trashy park

6 Feb

I went to the old trashy park this evening. The park is not trashy on the surface. It is actually quite clean. It is below where all the metal junk is at.

Thank you for looking!

Looks like an interesting area for metal detecting. Here in Devon, England we can’t get anywhere near parks etc. A real shame, so I do a lot of metal detecting on beaches and various farmland.

Interesting! now that I think about it, I have never read about anyone finding stuff at a park over there. It’s always farm fields.

I read that the UK was unique in Europe in that they co-opted metal detecting, in essence recruiting metal detectorists to aid in the archaeological assessment of the country.

        Hi
Yes that’s correct, metal detectorists are used For various archaeological digs and programmes like time team here in England have detectorists searching for the metal finds. The down side is you can only detect on the beaches and fields with permission with lots of areas out of bounds, a real shame.
