Where are all the cool posts?

I haven’t been out detecting very much. I know, that seems to be the theme of this blog nowadays. Except for a couple of hunts at a very old park in a city 45 minutes from here (where I was attacked by a swarm of hornets on one of the outings) and a club hunt at a local park, I have done no hunting.

It’s too hot. The wife is too demanding of my time. My boys want to hang out with me. It’s too hot. The litany of excuses goes on and on. I really need to put more of an effort into it. 
Luckily, the weather seems to have turned and we’ve had a number of cool Fall days, plus, at the club hunt, I managed to look sufficiently sorry for Steve and lawdog1 to generously offer to invite me to their next private property hunt.

So things may be turning and perhaps next time you come to this blog, there will be an actual metal detecting related post as opposed to all this filler stuff I’ve been posting lately. 

I am going to an interesting site for a church thing in a couple of weeks and I may actually find something cool. We shall see.
