I hope everyone is having a great year so far.
Me, I have not even looked at Maurice, or Dragomir, or the Mighty Compadre. I have been somewhat distracted by other issues but I am slowly emerging from that and I hope to start detecting again soon.
We’ve had a few nice days this Winter but alas, I couldn’t make it out.
This year I am really aiming at buying a new detector. I have spoken about it before and no, I am not abandoning the XP Deus. I have been searching for a detector for a very specific type of hunting. I thought I had it with the Blisstool but although the machine delivers what it promises, I never used it enough last year to really extract the benefits. Meanwhile, a new Russian machine has come into play and just recently, a dealer in the U.S. began carrying it. It’s an advanced machine and this is reflected in the price. With a wife and two young ones, I have to maneuver financially to come up with the money. My plan is to work the Deus hard to raise the funds.
Anyway, if you see me out there disturbing the soil, feel free to stop by and say hi.
Thank you for stopping by!
Certainly a new, more expensive metal detector is the answer. Has to be!
Been there done that…
Well, for sure a new shiny detector may tear me away from my black and white t.v. The only problem is where to park my horse buggy when I get to the park…he he he… #oldTimerproblems
Yes, I have watched some videos of that new detector. Cant understand a word they are saying but a picture is worth a thousand words. I purchased a AT Pro for my F75, most guys here was buying Etracs. Once you hit a certain level of detecting you have no where to go lol. As looked at my collection yesterday I realized that my first detector will do 90% of what my more advanced expensive detectors do. The difference is how much junk I dont dig now. I absolutely agree to get a specific tool for a specific job. Oh, I broke down and got a Etrac last month. Im not rich, just good at saving my zinc pennys I find. Pulltabber, a new machine is motivating for sure. Lots of folks are still in winter. I been hunting all winter as weather here has been good. The XP was on my hitlist but Etrac won out for my hunts. Just do your homework and ignore the hype when you buy. Buy new and support your vendor before we are all swinging Chinese detectors.
